This morning, Luzira Secondary School successfully held the Prefects’ Swearing-in and Handover Ceremony, marking the official transition of leadership to the newly elected student leaders.

The ceremony was graced by the Retired Headteacher of Kololo Secondary School, who delivered a powerful keynote address, encouraging the new prefects to lead with integrity, humility, responsibility, and a spirit of service.

The Assistant Chaplain presided over the swearing-in ceremony, drawing inspiration from Matthew 20:26:

“Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant.”

The message reminded the new leaders that true leadership is rooted in serving others with humility and commitment.

In his address, Mr. Peter Hormisdas Ssenyimba, the Headteacher of Luzira Secondary School, congratulated the newly sworn-in prefects and challenged them to be exemplary ambassadors of the school’s values, leading with discipline, wisdom, and dedication.

The event was attended by members of staff and parents who represented the wider parent community, demonstrating the shared commitment between the school and families in nurturing responsible student leaders.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the incoming prefects and express our sincere appreciation to the outgoing leadership team for their dedicated service. May this new team lead with excellence, integrity, and a heart to serve.
