As it is visible to the world that now ICT is taking on each day by day as a school we have not sat down on this and so in the past we had students roll called every day to capture their daily attendance but we decided to do away with the old fashioned way by tasking the ICT department in the school to provide a system that would be able to capture the daily attendance of the students and so they developed an attendance system that enables a student to swipe in at the school gate using a personalized card that possess the a QR code that is linked to the student account in the school management system and the project has been on since 2021 and when a student would swipe in each day they would report at school a text message is sent to the parent of this student instantly alerting them that their child had reached school and the attendance for the particular day is captured instantly and given to the responsible offices that needed the data but then 2024 we decided to upgrade from using the card for clocking in and decided to use the fingerprint for clocking in and so we are glad that students have started using this new advancement.
